How to clean Deer Chaser (shishi odoshi) bamboo fountain?

If the fountain was clear coated then I would think a mild detergent and water would clean it just fine. If not, then the bamboo could’ve soaked up some of the dirt, mildew, and whatever else is outside.
I would try scrubbing with a mild bleach solution first, and if that doesn’t work then maybe a pressure washer with a “soft spray” tip. If that doesn’t work then more extreme measures like sanding and refinishing may be necessary.
Remember bamboo is just like any other wood product, and unless properly preserved will suffer outdoors just like any other product.
