I purchased this because I wanted a stand alone mist fountain since I don’t have much tabletop space in my living room. The fountain makes quite a bit of swirling mist on the high setting, though when placed in a corner, the mist mainly hangs over the bowl. To allow for more movement and optimal visual effect it needs to be placed further from a wall or in an area that doesn’t restrict as much air flow.
The mist fountain makes a water trickling sound, soothing though subtle as compared to the regular indoor water fountain variety. Otherwise, the unit itself operates very quietly. More for visual ambience than sound effect. A side bonus is that it seems to work like a vaporizer in dry rooms when the heat is on.

My fountain arrived Christmas Eve. I put it together and it was stunning. Very much enjoyed it. On Christmas morning my cats turned it over and the bowl broke.
I contacted SolarGardens and asked if they carried replacement bowls and was told they would send a replacement at no cost. On New Years Eve a replacement fountain arrived. It’s now in a cat free zone and I’m enjoying it immensely.
Easy to put together, and it helps replenish moisture in the air depleted by heat stoves. You can add essential oils to the mist. Well worth the price. I plan to buy a hanging fountain from them for the downstairs so the cats can’t reach it!

I found nothing wrong with this Mist Floor Fountain. It’s very beautiful! It just wasn’t sufficent for what I wanted. I wanted a fountain that produced quite a bit more mist , and the bowl is a little smaller than I wanted. Thank God that I went thur Amazon, because when I emailed directly to the company to return the fountain – I got “no” response. As soon as I emailed my request via Amazon to the company – that’s when I got a quick reply.

This fountain is easy to assemble and the bowl measures about 16″ across at the top. You can use tap water but it does need to be filtered…even if you live in a city. About once a week, you should clean the bowl out with white vinegar to get rid of any calcium residue. I’ve found that a full bowl of water lasts me about a week–that’s running it only during the day. The mist tends to stay above the bowl unless the window or fan is open–even when the fountain is away from the wall. The fountain is also pretty quiet. I can only hear it when I’m in the same room it is. I would not recommend this for people with small children or pets as it can easily be knocked over…unless you plan on having it in a room that the kids/pets don’t have access to. A great tool for humidifying one room or a small apartment, but definitely not an entire house.
