Living in a city sometimes imposes restrictions on garden designs because of the limiting size of the space available. With a little imagination and a water fountain, a small area can be miraculously altered.

Even in a small garden or enclosed patio, the sound of gently trickling water of an outdoor fountain has the power to both soothe and inspire and will create a tranquil escape from the noisy world outside.
Wall mounted water fountains are becoming very popular with landscape designers. Adding a water fountain is probably the single best landscaping idea to add sight, sound, movement and interest to a small space.
Wall mounted fountains can add a very organic and natural feeling to an otherwise stark and uninviting small area. Water shimmer and shines as it gently slides down the face of the fountain and over the naturally colored stones in the basin.
Outdoor fountains really enhance certain walls, especially when surrounded by potted plants and hanging baskets because they draw the eyes in different directions. The beneficial negative ions created by water movement will help the surrounding plants become lush and green.
A wall mounted water fountain provides natural sounds of trickling water that help create a soothing place to sit and relax in. they make a nice background sound when relaxing with a book or sitting with a friend sipping iced tea.

Add rocks to the basin of the fountain. Select stones that have interesting natural colors and patterns that you find attractive and reflect the color scheme of the patio or garden.
Your budget will obviously affect the size and material of the fountain you are able to purchase. Outdoor fountains are available in a wide price range, and there are plenty of economical options available.
Even when working on a tight budget, do not skimp on your fountain’s purchase. There are a lot of very interesting outdoor fountains that are reasonably priced and good bargains to be found. By choosing the right water fountain, you will be adding charm and beauty to the whole house. You may not need to spend very much at all on additional landscaping.
Outdoor fountains are very easy to install. If you purchase online from a respected fountain store, it will usually be on your doorstep in just a few days. Very little assembly is needed. Traditional floor fountains only need a level place to stand. For wall mounted water fountains, it is normally a case of drilling three of four holes to attach the retaining bracket.
