I appreciate the responses but what I'm specifically looking for is a pump that will run on batteries(AA or D cell for example) so they will be independent of any wiring to the table. I have found several sites showing one but no reference to where they purchased it. If I failed to mention submersible, sorry, I just thought that was a forgone conclusion...thanks again!

Does anyone know a natural way to cut down on algae and other impurities in a home fountain?
My fountain is in the home, not outside. I do clean it regularly usually, but I just had surgery and it went for 2 weeks and started to build up algae. I had used some bleach and vinegar in the water and both helped some, but the smell wasn't good. I must have put in too much.
No owners manual; sale because of floor model. Store only has one expensive option for chemicals.
